The Zhong Yuan Festival, commonly known as the Hungry Ghost Festival, is an important Taoist observance dedicated to remembering ancestors, praying for departed loved ones, and extending compassion to wandering souls. This festival commemorates the birthday of the Earth Official, who is believed to pardon sins and bestow salvation during this period.
Hiang Tong Keng's Annual Salvation Rituals provide devotees with an opportunity to register memorial tablets and participate in traditional Taoist salvation ceremonies during the Zhong Yuan Festival.
