The group was started by the Taoist masters from the Fung Ying Seen Koon in Hong Kong, and the tutor of rites is Master Leung Tak Wah, the incumbent Chairman of the Hong Kong Taoist Association and Advisor of the Fung Ying Seen Koon. The Scripture Chanting Group practice the traditional and orthodox rituals of the Dragon Gate Tradition. The incumbent leader of the Scripture Chanting Group is Master Chia Kok Wah (Wei Zhong), he is a formal disciple to Master Leung Tak Wah.
The Scripture Chanting Group also produced several young Taoist priests in Singapore through our Taoist Scripture classes who had served the Taoist Federation (Singapore) to propagate Taoism and also to foster inter-religious and intra-religious relations in Singapore.
